Malatapay Wednesday market Every Wednesday just a few kilometres south of Dauin you can visit a very interesting market of Malatapay. About half an hour by car via Dumaguete to Valencia then, depending of the conditions, another half an hour by car or Habal Habal (motorbike with driver) to the entrance of the nature reserve (small entrance fee). Twin Lakes (can be combined with Casaroro Waterfall to a full day trip) In about two hours by car or motorbike from Pura Vida Beach & Dive Resort you can reach another highlight in the mountains of Oriental Negros. The Twin Lakes are located in beautiful rainforest area in the upper part of San Jose, a few kilometres north of Dumaguete City, about 14 kms up from the coastal highway. On the way up from time to time beautiful view over the Tanon Strait, the Bohol Sea and different islands. After a dusty ride up you can breath fresh mountain air. It's possible to rent a small banca (outrigger paddle boat) to reach the other, untouched side of the lake or you can enjoy a interesting jungle walk or a refreshing swim.
